Our Checks are Thorough and Complete
Our background check partner verifies the personal information provided by your candidate. This includes: their name, current address, Social Security Number, previous addresses, and any aliases. This helps to ensure the reliability of the candidate or applicant. Upon adequate verification of the applicants information, our background check provider completes a comprehensive criminal records search of the appropriate counties and federal jurisdictions.
The national criminal database search includes the Department of Corrections, Department of Public Safety, Administrative Office of the Courts, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and the Department of Criminal Justice files and records. Criminal records identified during the search are verified for accuracy.
Our background checks include a review and check of registered sex offenders.
The county criminal court check searches for court records at the county level. This includes felony and misdemeanor records from the upper and lower court.
A check to see if your candidate possesses a valid driver’s license and checks for a clean driving history. *This report is not available in PA.

How it works…
Step One
Simply download the background check kit to use our Full Armor Church volunteer background check program. The registration is a ONE TIME set-up fee and there are no additional monthly, annual, or hidden fees. Not now, not ever!
Step Two
Using the welcome letter, follow the instructions to register and set-up your administration portal. This enables you to submit candidates for screening and receive background check results online.
Step Three
Submit and pay for as many or as few background checks as needed. The rates for the individual background checks are as published above and you can either choose to pay as you go or receive monthly invoicing to avoid hassles.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Person's Consent to run a background check?
Yes, you do. In order to determine somebody’s eligibility, you must ask their permission and complete a consent/order form. We provide everything you need.
Should my ministry do background checks?
Background checks protect your ministry from loss, damage, or litigation. Courts have shown that churches must show due regard when selecting volunteers and employees.
What if I choose to decline an applicant?
Churches can establish their own criteria. However, you must provide applicants with at least two notifications if denied as a result of a background. (The pre-adverse and adverse action letter - included)
How long does my account stay active?
We do not set minimum orders for members. However, we ask that every church utilize the program annually to stay enrolled.
